Waste forklift tires to make sandals
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
There are still many people who don't know how to take advantage of forklift tire waste.
Forklift tire waste can be used for various kinds of crafts such as sandals, auto or motorcycle parts.
The video this time is about making sandals from waste forklift tires.
Steps to make sandals from forklift tires.
1. Cut the forklift tires to the size of the sandals.
2. Make a sandal pattern on the rubber strip.
3. slice with a cutter
4. Sew the face of the sandal.
For more details, please see the video until it runs out ...
Hopefully this is useful and thank you for watching our video.

Very creative!! Some simple home made tools, and skill. Back in the late 1960's and early 1970's people in Tijuana Mexico made sandals using old car tires for the sole. Leather was also cheap there, so they would make the uppers from leather, then use a heated knife to cut out the sole from old car tires. This was when car tires had nylon or rayon cords, and I don't know what they did when steel belted tires came out. I had a pair, and they easily lasted 20 years. My feet are so big that they probably had to use a bulldozer tire for mine.

Car tyres have always had steel belts under the tread
@garylangley4502
Жыл бұрын
@@sammyd7857 Early on, they had cotton cords, then Nylon, which was a huge improvement. The tires lasted much longer and resisted road hazards such as potholes or rocks. However, if the car sat for a while, the tires would have a flat spot on the bottom. The ride would be a bit bumpy for a little while, but the flat spots would gradually even out. Then rayon was used, with the biggest improvement being no more flat spots. Finally, steel cords were used when radial tires were developed.

Most importantly, that's a top-quality rubber hand made sandal because those rubber fork tires are meant to be long-lasting material.

I got a pair of tire sandals, and they resist wear like iron. Mine still look new after wearing them for 4 years straight. They have about 1mm of material worn off of the corner of the heels, and that's it. The sandals in the video look like they'd last a lifetime.

@@andrewk8636 For me, comfort is more of an issue with the strap design/material than what the sole is made out of. But yes, I find them very comfy. They do tend to be a bit heavier since they are much denser than those foam flip-flops you see everywhere, but not enough that you notice it while wearing them. If you enjoy a more solid/denser sole material (rather than the quick-wearing, squishy, floofy foam popular with a lot of other flip-flops) then you'll probably find tire sandals as comfy as anything else.

My OluKai sandals are currently 3 years old and still going strong. The fabric under the strap is a bit worn and the superficial texture is worn off the bottom, but great sandals for 60-70 bucks.
